Senior Consultant Writer/Editor

to join our federal technology services practice. We are looking for a consummate professional to work within our IT Transformation project.Skills and Responsibilities:Capture comprehensive policy requirements in collaboration with SMEs and staffSupport authoring, revising, and editing of policy documents and standard operating proceduresReview and validate IT service offerings, systems, and processesReview IT workforce planning model for alignment with IT transitionDevelop IT strategies, recommendations, and communicationsIdentify critical IT workforce gaps based on IT Functional BlueprintProduce diagrams, charts, and data visualizationsProvide subject matter expertise related to Working Capital FundIdentify standard set of technology required to enable new IT delivery capabilitiesSupport intra-agency succession planning effortsAnalyze planned activities for delegated examining authoritiesSoft Skills:Ability to use expertise to drive clients to making key decisions regarding ambiguous or undefined requirementsAbility to change direction and thought process to capture and meet the needs of the clientAbility to work through ambiguous directions to help clients gain clarity needed to identify requirementsAbility to work across the team in a lead or support capacity to meet task expectationsRequired Education:Bachelor's degreeQualifications/Experience:Must have 2 or more years of experience in Information Technology projectsMust provide 2 writing samplesA strong background and relevant experience in federal IT policy is requiredPreference for candidates with experience in public health and/or emergency managementExperience planning IT capability, capacity, and IT transformationExperience gathering/eliciting requirements and facilitating group discussionsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have an eye for detailsUS CitizenshipPreference for candidates that live within the Washington, DC Metro AreaMust be able to work on-site 1-2 days a weekAbout Softtek Government Solutions:Softtek Government Solutions is a professional services firm focused on addressing our nation's most complex threats and challenges.
