Job Description

The Office of the County Administrator is seeking a motivated, team-oriented problem solver to play a key role in community development projects particularly land use, economic development, housing, building and development and strategic planning. The Office of the County Administrator is a fast-paced environment that handles a wide variety of organizational and community issues. Key responsibilities of this position include:Researching, writing, and editing agenda items for the Board of Supervisors.Managing cross-departmental projects in the community development area.Coordinating reporting details of the Board of Supervisors strategic plan.The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills, including the ability to effectively communicate, track progress, work with senior-level staff and meet deadlines. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess excellent research, communication, both verbal and written, and editing skills.

Hiring Range:

$79,911.85-$109,878.80Salary Commensurate with Experience

Job Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Planning or related field and three (3) years of related work experience in government administration, public budgeting, project management, land use, economic development, or related programs/operations. Specific experience with project management in local government organizations, building and development, land use, and strategic planning is preferred.

Special Requirements

This position may be required to attend evening Board of Supervisors meetings.
