Georgia Technology Authority is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst. The QA analyst is typically responsible for the testing phase of the production process to ensure that final products meet the company standards. Duties include identifying whether products are functional, reliable and meet the end user's expectations. This position is set to run through 6/28/2024 with a strong chance of extension and/or conversion.

JOB DUTIES:Depending on the project, the QA Analyst may work from business requirements to generate test cases, and in some cases will work with the end user and the technical team to define the appropriate test cases. Test cases are executed and documented with tickets opened to the appropriate technical team to resolve any issues discovered. With the normal process, QA sign-off is required for a product to be promoted to UAT with the business owner(s).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works on multiple projects/applications as a project team member. Considered a subject matter expert for several projects/applications.

Works on projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments.

Develops formal test plans and test cases, including writing, maintaining and executing functional, regression, and integration test scripts based on requirements documentation.

May develop automation of test cases.

Identifies procedures and scenarios for the quality control of products and services.

Processes product reviews and informs the development team of defects and errors.

Communicates quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team.

Creates, tracks, maintains and verifies defects via a defect management system.

Ensures that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meets end-user expectations.

Utilizes the following testing methods: Exploratory, Verification/Validation, Regression.

Spots areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency.

Researches the current market for similar products and compares results.

Participates in customer meetings as well as project team meetings.

Communicates testing results to team members and stakeholders.

With minimal direction, selects and effectively uses tools that support test plans and test processes.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

3 years demonstrated experience in providing QA testing for complex web solutions (web sites) manual and automated.

2 years demonstrated experience testing web solutions in an enterprise environment with external customers.

2 years demonstrated experience testing web solutions in a Drupal 8/9/10 environment.

2 years’ experience developing, updating and executing automated test scripts.

2 years’ experience with Selenium testing tools.

2 years of manual regression testing experience.

2 years’ experience working with Jira and Confluence.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or proven equivalent work experience, AND three (3) years of systems analysis and/or business analysis experience, AND two (2) or more years’ experience in documentation, quality assurance, integration, and user acceptance testing OR 4 years demonstrated experience as a hands-on QA specialist.

Preferred Qualifications:

(Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience):

Advanced level experience in software development methodologies, like Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.

Experience working in state government.
