Job Summary
Manage manufacturing contracts (Site Service Agreements, Product Manufacturing Agreements, Operating Services Agreement) that exist globally where Pharma sites, with emphasis on finance and accounting management of these.
The Business Contract Manager is the focal point responsible for the proper execution of Operating Agreements (OAs) which Pharma Solutions' sites have with various partners, focusing on finance and invoicing. Operating Agreements may include: MPA – Manufacturing Product Agreement, CMA – Contract Manufacturing Agreement, OSA – Operate Service Agreement, PFR – Purchase for Resale Agreement, SSA – Site Service Agreement. These responsibilities will be applicable to both provider and receiver of services.
Skills, Competencies, and Experience:
Knowledge of the business and relevant sites & assets
High credibility with senior leaders and across all organizational levels
Superior organizational savvy and strategic thinking
Ability to build and manage strong, collaborative, and cross-functional working relationships
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
Ability to influence and resolve issues with counterparts
Ability to explain complex contractual language in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding and implementation
Successful business partnering experience
Experience with manufacturing accounting/finance is required
Experience in contract management is not required, but preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
Bachelors in Finance or Accounting or other related field required. Engineering will also be considered with a strong Finance background
SAP experience required
Immediate owner of all financial and invoicing aspects of these Operations Contracts
Serve as the key point of contact between the assigned site/region leaders and the contracted third parties to ensure accurate and effective financial execution of the agreements
Manage contracts as a receiver as well as a provider of services as defined in the contracts and schedules
Articulate the contract terms and conditions to relevant stakeholders in the business to effectively implement them
Ensure business adherence to schedule terms and conditions (i.e. costs, minimum order quantities, lead times, costs)
Ensure there are no deviations from the terms and conditions with respect to contract fees and invoicing
Facilitate resolution of invoice disputes
Serve as focal point and the conduit to Business to review impacts and dependencies associated with early termination and service change requests, including gathering of data, cross-functional and cross-service impacts
Monitor performance of third party to ensure billing is consistent with contract schedules and fees
Escalate any disputes to and work collaboratively with the Business Contract Director to determine dispute resolution
Work within the BU to forecast the impact of the contracts on business operations and financial planning
Partner with the Business Contract Director to monitor contract performance, compliance and any financial planning roll-ups
