It is all reflected in our corporate vision: “enhancing life through innovative garment solutions.”We are hiring an experienced Legal Specialist (Paralegal) for our Legal Team, based in the Wilmington office, and reporting directly to our Chief Intellectual Property Counsel. We are a young, developing company – but with a long-established and definitively industry-leading premium product.The legal specialist will be part of a global legal department. This is a senior role that requires drafting, reviewing, negotiating and issue-spotting various negotiable terms to contracts including, but not limited to intellectual property related contracts such as confidentiality agreements and intellectual property license agreements. The candidate should have knowledge of key contract terms and a proven track record of prior contract negotiating experience, be dedicated, competent and detail-oriented with the ability to go beyond what is expected, must possess ability to work autonomously and achieve company goals.Job Summary

:Draft and/or review IP licenses, confidentiality agreements, and other contracts, as neededDraft and/or review contract terms and conditions with minimal attorney oversightPrepare agreements using current research methods and understand business needs as well legal implications and possess the ability to fulfill such requestsReview contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable regulationsAssist business to fulfill the terms of or to terminate contracts on mutually amicable termsAbility to clearly explain contract terms to business and other interested parties in simple, everyday languageServe as primary point of contact for business clients requiring contractsCollaborate and partner with Legal team to help improve current processes and be comfortable with establishing new processes for improved efficienciesWork independently with others across all business functions, such as Marketing, R&D, and Finance in support of contract needsMust be able to work independently but thrive in a collaborative group environmentRun and analyze contract reports in support of contract initiativesWork independently to ensure completion of contracts in a timely mannerProofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistencyAbility to work well under tight deadlinesRequired Qualifications :Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an approved ABA school or equivalent experience5-7 years experience as a contract paralegal/ specialist/manager in a corporate legal departmentExtensive experience with contracts; reviewing and understanding contracts and related key termsPreferred Education and Experience:7-10 years experience as a contract paralegal/specialist/manager in a corporate legal departmentExperience with Saleforce.com and contract management systemsBackground in intellectual property including trademarks, copyrights and patents a plusCompensation/BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.The LYCRA Company innovates and produces fiber and technology solutions for the apparel and personal care industries.
