Position Summary

We are looking for a Property Management Coordinator to support the Director of Resident Relations. This person will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be organized, and able to manage many different tasks at any given time, while maintaining integrity and accountability in their work.

Position Performance Objectives

Compile eviction and other legal files for attorney review and action, work with attorneys for the duration of the matter through closure of the file.

Monitor legal files, calendar deadlines and trials, and coordinate court appearances.

Understand and interpret residency documents, civil codes, and other landlord-tenant laws to ensure accuracy and compliance with current laws and business practices.

Assist in developing and enforcing procedures for compliance at the corporate and property levels.

Research, analyze, and summarize incoming issues and new and existing laws, determine applicability to the company and draft documents supporting your findings.

Draft correspondence to various parties on behalf of the company and our clients.

Review reports, identify, and resolve discrepancies.

Accurately prepare and track various violation, collections, and legal notices.

Process title transfers for trailers and manufactured homes with the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Housing and Community Development.

Manage a variety of special projects as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work at the corporate office in front of a computer screen/typing approximately 90% of a typical working day.

Ability to bend, reach, and lift boxes and office supplies up to 30 pounds.

Perform simple and power grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of property management experience and/or in a legal office.

Understanding of landlord-tenant law, leases, and evictions preferred.

Strong writing skills and experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and G-Suite and ability to learn new programs.
