Position SummaryPrimary Responsibilities Include The Following:Assist non-degree granting units in developing and implementing assessment plans.Curate and develop a set of assessment- and effectiveness-related resources and tools.Provide training in assessment best practices, innovations, and tools.Support the development of new programs and services at the College to ensure a solid foundation for data management and assessment.Represent the Office at meetings and events that have an institutional effectiveness or assessment component.Coordinate with the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Assessment to ensure that assessment efforts are complementary and consistent.Respond to internal and external data requests.Work with campus stakeholders to design institution-level key performance indicators to measure progress against the Strategic Plan.Analyze and interpret college-wide assessment data, prepare reports and dashboards to summarize findings, and disseminate those findings to the community in clear and accessible ways.Design and implement research projects to assist clients across the campus.Stay abreast of relevant trends and data among peers and higher education more broadly, by participating in conferences, webinars, affinity groups, and other opportunities for professional development.Other duties as required.Qualifications

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree.Two or more years of effective experience in extracting, analyzing, and reporting data.Knowledge of assessment methods and experience implementing assessment plans and reporting.Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel.Attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Curiosity, creativity, independence, and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Ability to explain complex concepts and insights to audiences with varying areas of expertise.A commitment to process improvement for minimizing error and improving productivity.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree, preferably in higher education, program evaluation, social sciences or another related field.The ideal candidate will display strengths in one or more of the following areas:Data Science: extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data from a variety of sources in order to produce robust, replicable insights to inform institutional strategy and decision-making. Experience with data science and/or data visualization tools (R, Python, SPSS, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query, etc.).Survey design, management, and analysis. Experience with Qualtrics preferred.Prior experience with state and federal compliance reporting.Prior experience in Higher Education, with a focus on understanding trends and data sources for comparative analysis.Candidates with expertise in student affairs, academic affairs, or other higher education operations are encouraged to apply.Supplemental Information
