Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire an Assistant Director Business Operations for Student Life.

This full-time position supports the efforts for Division's budget management, revenue generation and collection, expense tracking, and relationship management with both on and off-campus partners. Provides leadership and support to established processes inside of campus dining, housing, vending, and food trucks. Helps evaluate and mitigate expenses for the Division through approval processes. Some evening/weekend hours may be required dependent upon demands. Should be prepared to work 40+ hours a week, including evening and weekend hours, during critical times of year, such as move-in and move-out.

Key Responsibilities

Manage departmental accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for both Omaha and Phoenix campuses. Oversees the tracking and submitting of all inter-departmental charges for our dining program at board and retail locations and catering invoicing, summer conferences tracking, invoicing, and payment reconciliation, food truck program payments and associated internal transfers, payment issuance for student employees and groups when appropriate, etc. Process purchase orders, reimbursements, requisitions approvals, and journal entries. Assists the Division with resolving vendor inquiries.

Cashiering responsibility including credit card processing and reconciliation, check and cash deposits, egregious damage billing, inter-departmental charge issuance, petty cash management, and p-card process auditing, etc. Also supports reservations efforts in collection of deposits, final payments, and contract-obligational documents.

Manage the operations of our vending and bottling contracts including complaints, refunds, commissions tracking, and any requests or needs from our vendors to maintain effective working partnerships. Coordinate with the management of product donations for campus and overseeing day-to-day functionality and satisfaction with the on-campus vending program.

Manage the expense approval and tracking process for Housing & Auxiliary Services and support Creighton Dining and the Housing Office in campus meal plan processes. Assists in decision-making processes surrounding the campus dining program by tracking and reporting on regular activity in dining halls and retail locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, communications, or a related field OR 5 years of experience in a similar field or with similar duties required.

One or more years of business or finance experience preferred.

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills.

Interpersonal/human relations skills, written and verbal communication.

Experience with use of Microsoft products, including Excel.

Must demonstrate a strong Commitment to the Catholic, Jesuit mission of Creighton University.
