We oversee the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for all students and other campus constituents, managing the operation of programming spaces and advising programming board committees. Our team interacts with students, student leaders, student employees, registered student organizations, fellow staff members across campus, faculty, and external clients in the Atlanta community.Key components of our department include:Student Leadership Development:

We advise students in planning large-scale social, educational, traditions, and stress-relief programs through the student event programming board.Event Management:

Our staff advises student event planners through one-on-one meetings, committee meetings, and on-site event execution.Collaboration and Engagement:

We promote interactions between faculty and students, foster collaboration among students, enhance campus and civic engagement, and ease both the academic and social transition to college.Our department is committed to creating an inclusive and engaging environment that supports the holistic development of our students. We strive to provide opportunities for students to connect with one another, their campus, and the broader community.Job SummaryAdvise assigned committees, to include: leadership development of students, event and budget management. May attend committee meetings and functions.Manage a Student Center programming space to include hiring, training and supervising student employees, maintaining the facility and equipment, managing the operating budget, promoting use of the area via programs and special events, establishing policies and procedures, and providing for the timely procurement of supplies.Oversee Options, Georgia Tech's leisure course program, dealing with a large number and diversity of people.Work closely with other program professionals to establish the overall philosophy and direction of the programs division and contributing to a comprehensive student leadership development program including participation at student leader retreats.Perform other duties as assigned.Preferred QualificationsPreferable experience in a college/university, private sector or not-for-profit programming role; experience planning and executing events on a college campus, working in a diverse environment in which student development is a priority.Ability to generate and articulate ideas about student development, student staff supervision, and volunteer recruitment and engagement; strong interpersonal, communications and organizational skills.
