We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Purchasing Manager

to join our team and oversee our procurement operations, ensuring we obtain quality products and services at competitive prices.

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable conditions.

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of products and services.

Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.

Procurement Strategy:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and budgetary constraints.

Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.

Optimize the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Contract Management:

Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely availability of products and materials.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor purchasing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the purchasing department.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, expenditures, and supplier performance.

Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).

Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a purchasing or procurement role, with a strong track record of successful negotiations and supplier management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Office, Plant, or Warehouse

While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the Plant work environment is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. Office environments are climate controlled.
