Drayage Specialist

As a Drayage Specialist at Beemac Logistics, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of expanding drayage services. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for sales reps to reach out to with drayage needs. You will lead efforts on the full cycle process from quoting, to carrier assignment, to container tracking.Responsibilities:Working with sales managers to determine needs and challenges and come up with solutions.Mapping current and future business development and growth opportunities as well as prospect contacts in the CRM.Responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly goals and enforcing set company KPI's on a daily and weekly basis.Formulate and deliver customer quotes.Engage in drayage carrier procurement and shipment tracking.Be accessible as a resource for drayage assistance in all Beemac Logistics offices.Act as a liaison between customer and leadership by cultivating new areas of opportunity and overcoming challenges.Position Requirements:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing drayage transportation.Experience with McLeod TMS preferred.Fundamental understanding of carrier procurement practices and operational load movement processes.Ability to simultaneously interface with all levels of internal and external teams while communicating effectively with the customer.Ability to draw essential information out of customers to grow and develop business.Extremely articulate in both written and oral formats.Employee is expected to perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
