CityScapeWhat you'll do:The EPMO Program Manager will have the following responsibilities:Helping Lines of Business develop and execute on strategic roadmaps. This entails capturing the strategic vision of WAB Business Heads and helping to distill and organize the strategic goals and objectives in executable programs and projects. This individual will consistently keep the overall goal of becoming a $100B+ institution at the forefront of all their planning and analysis while managing business strategic road maps as programs.Stay aware of industry shifts and assess the impact to strategic road maps based on potential competitive and regulatory changes. Examples include but are not limited to entering new markets, standing up new lines of business within the Bank, and leading efforts in adopting new technologies.Gain confidence and trust from executive management through day-to-day relationship building at all levels.Manage the budget the LOB has for initiatives, resource maximization, and introducing enterprise changes due to strategic visions through planning and executing on people change management plans.Manage a small team of Project Managers and other EPMO resources as needed, assigned to work on their own programs for the organization. Program managers are responsible for the overall completion of a program within the larger organization's project portfolio.Prepare the appropriate consumable documentation for all levels of the organization.What we are looking for:Work with departments to help revise the Business strategic plan through collaborative discussions with business partners and all members of shared services and risk management.Decompose Strategic Plans into executable programs/workstreams and execute according to defined timelines.Help direct and evaluate Program Management vision and build out of executable projects for inclusion in the master plan/schedule of Enterprise Programs/Projects the EPMO maintains and manages.Manage all phases of the Program Management lifecycle from inception through operationalization for complex multi-workstream Bank strategic initiatives.Provide input to help manage and track the Program Portfolio providing Program level metrics to assess and track financials, risk, resources and other key Program Management functions for the business sponsor.Manage and develop Project Management talent and team members.Facilitate Program team meetings with executives and senior business partners.Document and drive continuous process improvement for Program Management as well as other maturity opportunities as outlined in the strategic plan.Identify, document, and resolve dependencies related to people, product, and processes across all WAB Program efforts.Effectively manage time, cost, and quality of output on assigned Programs.Develop trust and confidence with business partners as part of partnering in their strategic planning for their areas.Develop and execute People Change Management approaches and plans for Programs.Continually assess risk at multiple levels leveraging Enterprise Risk Management best practices and collaboration with "2nd line of defense".What you will need:Previous experience in EPMO senior level positions for larger financial institutions.Can operate at Strategic and tactical levels and adapts communication based on audience.Excellent relationship management skills.Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Concentration in computer science or business management preferred.5+ years' experience in banking and financial services required.10+ years of experience in various EPMO functions including Governance, Resource Capacity Management, Talent development and Program Management required.10+ years of experience with Enterprise Program Management preferred (enterprise-wide projects with cross-divisional program impacts including initiatives targeted at improvement of WAB's customer facing products and services).Previous experience leading employees making up program teams.Strong ability to collaborate with executives, stakeholders, and management required.Strong analytical, leadership, collaborative, and communication skills required.Ability to lead through chaos and gain buy-in across multiple customers/stakeholders involved in delivering program solutions.Integral partner in helping partners develop programs aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.Assist Project managers in defining and organizing their projects, through the following actions: Outline scope components/workstreams, analyze data, drive performance improvements, ensure standards are followed, and influence resource allocation for all stages of the program.Cultivate operational excellence within your team. Operate successively in ambiguous environments.
