Assistant Project Manager – Plumbing & HVAC

at WDF Inc., reporting to

VP/Director of Mechanical Operations , you will have the opportunity to:Oversee bid packages for sub-contractor involvement and correctnessPlan, organize, and staff key field positions through regional department headsNegotiate contracts with Client/Owner, maintain positive relationships, and resolve disputesDemonstrate complete understanding and awareness of the contractOversee procurement log and monitor progress of long lead itemsReview subcontractor PCOs and prepare change order requests to OwnerReview RFI and submittal logs with Project EngineersInitiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activitiesMonitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budgetRepresent the company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetingsManage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the ClientMonitor jobsite safety and take appropriate action to address and correct deficienciesAssist in preparing the progress payment and obtaining approvalDevelop cash flow projection with Project Controller and submit to Home Office and Owner (if required)Approve Time and Material ratesMay perform other duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and five (5) or more years of relevant commercial construction experience on projects exceeding $50 millionKnowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principlesAbility to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project scheduleKnowledge of Primavera P-6, Bluebeam, and Procore is preferredAdvanced skill level with MS Office applicationsDemonstrated leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal skillsThe salary range for this position is $135,000 to $165,000 depending on experience.WDF Inc. builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
