This position is primarily responsible for the administration of grants/projects approved by the Legislature for the fixed capital outlay (FCO) office.Employee must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-oriented behavior and performance expectations sometimes under stressful conditions.Performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.Employee must interact courteously with others.Attendance is an essential job function of this position.Analysis of data.Preparation of ad hoc surveys and/or reports.Maintenance of historical files.Provide technical assistance to agency staff, legislative staff, Governor's office staff, and others as needed.DUTIES:

Develops, disseminates and processes FCO grant/projects application forms and instructions to non-state entities and eligible applicants.Provides technical assistance to staff and other funded entities related to grant/project administration and management.Collaborates with staff and other resource persons to ensure that responses to inquiries are made promptly and efficiently.Prepare reimbursement requests related to grants/projects.Prepares a reconciliation of grant/projects from excel tracker reports to Florida Accounting Information System (FLAIR).Prepares PowerPoint presentations for Jewish Day School and Non-State Entities that outlines the funding sources, application process, forms, award notification, reimbursement, etc.Prepares annual Capital Project Plan letters to approved award recipients.Performs other related duties as needed.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to use Excel, Word or WordPerfect, and Microsoft Outlook software applications.Knowledge of the Educational Facilities Accounting Information System.Ability to develop detailed spreadsheets, which include formula-based allocations.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other financial procedures.Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.Ability to understand and apply State of Florida statutes and other policies.Knowledge of internal control concepts.Knowledge of accounting systems and supporting interface concepts.Knowledge of the methods of data collection.Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.Ability to analyze processes for best practice methods and produce supporting process models.Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.Ability to coordinate data required from others.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university or three (3) or more years’ experience applying accounting and auditing principles, theories and concepts is

required.

Grant Management/preparation and FLAIR experience is preferable.APPLICATION NOTES:
