To help facilitate our expanding business, RMS Energy is currently seeking a

Senior Project Manager

to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. Our

Project Managers

facilitate the project life cycle and technical development of a variety of projects including compliance with scope, specifications, and state of the art of engineering and project management practices. This position reports to PMO Manager. The successful candidate will interface with external customers to execute complex programs.

Preferred Locations:

Florida, Orlando; North Carolina, Raleigh, or nearby cities.

Responsibilities:Define service project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.Provide technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful implementation of project activities.Interact with customers and interpret their needs and requirements for project implementation.Ensure that the project is technically sound and consistent with client’s requirements and priorities.Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and reports the project's status.Develop detailed service project plans, schedules, and budgets.Administer the contract from a technical and commercial standpoint.Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project objectives.Ensure that project tasks are completed on time and within budget.Manage project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.Collaborate with internal teams, including Leadership, Engineering, and Field Services to create more efficient project methods, enhance the project's profitability, and ensure project alignment.Interact with Sub-contractors to monitor and control their performance and prepare RFPs to deploy sub-contractors.Perform and review engineering tasks. Initiate necessary corrective actions.Implement frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.Ensure the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.Implement quality control processes and best practices and ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.Communicate effectively and efficiently across functional areas both with internal and external Project Stakeholders.Be resourceful and exhibit creative ways to make things happen with less authority and fewer resources.Accountability & Responsibility for Results: Understand the difference between fault and responsibility throughout the life of the project and accept ultimate accountability for project results.Contribute to the process improvement and PMO process excellence.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:10+ years of relevant experience in a project management role; previous experience in an industrial or commercial power systems environment is highly preferred.Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, technical, or business field preferred or additional years of experience in a related field.Licensures and Certifications: NETA 2, 3, or 4 and/or certified PMP from PMI or IPMA-C is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Microsoft Project.Knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical systems, control & protection systems, substation construction, and/or power distribution is preferred.Previous experience in service project execution including installation, testing, commissioning, retrofitting, and upgrading projects preferred.Working knowledge of the market, end customers, and EPC’s in the power industry.Excellent communication and presentation skills with a customer focus.Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Other requirements:Up to 30% travel required throughout the continental USA.Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.Valid and current driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:The working conditions for this role primarily involve a standard office environment with typical office noise levels. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and performing tasks that demand visual acuity for reading and typing. This job may require travel to RMS facilities and other sites.

Physical Requirements:Physical requirements include the ability to occasionally lift and carry office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds, the capability to move within the office to access files, office machinery, and meeting rooms, and fine motor skills for keyboard use. Proficiency in speaking, hearing, reading, and typing in English is essential for effective communication and documentation.
