Compliance Service Desk Specialist

will monitor portfolio-wide and individual properties to ensure compliance with applicable affordable housing programs. Respond to Compliance Service Desk tickets with adherence to Service Level Agreement (SLA). Keep current on all changes in affordable housing regulation and assist with the distribution of information to Compliance, Asset Management, and Property Operations staff in all regions.We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This position is hybrid eligible.Pay : $31.10-33.17/hour DOE15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays.Early close Fridays - 3 paid hours off early each Friday.Health, dental (adult and child orthodontia included), vision, and pet insurance.Employer paid life insurance.403b + match, paid volunteer time, and more.Duties:Keep current on all updates and changes in affordable housing programs and requirements. Assist with preparing explanations and implementation procedures of new and existing regulations and other information related to compliance guidelines.Work with Compliance, Training, and Property Management personnel to develop action plans for non-compliant properties.Support the development of the process for assuring that consistent compliance training opportunities (external or internal) are in place or available for new Property Management personnel.Assess and make recommendations regarding training needs for Property Managers consistent with Mercy guidelines.Minimum Qualifications:Current compliance certifications for Tax Credit and HUD.Minimum of two (2) years in national / multi-regional property management, asset management, or housing regulatory organization / agency required.Must possess a thorough knowledge of HUD, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Farmers Home programs, and other affordable housing programs.Experience with RealPage systems including OneSite.Experience in design of assessment and training tools.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the use of property management / compliance monitoring software.Knowledge and Skills:Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to relate well to people from diverse backgrounds, work as a part of a team and in a collaborative manner with staff, peers, and supervisor.Read and interpret complex documents, such as regulatory agreements and compliance regulations.Interpret and understand resident file information.Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, including the ability to provide technical assistance on complex compliance issues in a simple, straightforward manner.This is a brief summary of the position and responsibilities.Mercy Housing is a fair chance employer; while we conduct background checks for all positions, we will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
