Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Administrator for the department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.Oversight and development of the Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic Surgery Programs, including clinical research. Collaborates with the Chief of Cardiac Surgery and the Chief of Thoracic Surgery in collaboration with the hospital-specific CV Service Line administrative team; and a multidisciplinary team of cardiac surgeons, thoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular imagers, non-invasive cardiologists, physician extenders, key staff, and senior leadership to provide leadership and expertise in the development and management of the cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery programs.Key Responsibilities

Coordinate efforts of cardiac research staff to ensure compliance with RWJMS standard operation procedures.Develop strategy, operational plans, and practice protocols to ensure the programs’ success and growth.Develop business plans and analysis relating to growth strategies; implement operational plans related to growth initiatives or development.Work with onsite and offsite clinical locations to orchestrate care in satellite clinics.Work closely with physicians and senior leadership to implement education, marketing, and 1:1 meetings to bring awareness of the cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery programs.Collaborate with marketing staff to develop brochures, articles, pamphlets, newsletters, and webpages.Effectively review and allocate resources related to the cardiac and thoracic surgery programs, including cost per case and reimbursement rates, reconciling all billing while maintaining open communications related to the program.Position Status

This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.Qualifications

BS/BA degree.At least 2 years of experience in CTS/Structural Heart services.5 years of previous experience with management of office-based practice as well as clinical research trial management, including regulatory and compliance.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc).Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands: Working at a computer, walking, standing, taking elevators or stairs.Work Environment: Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable diseases and operation of equipment. Potential exposure to Category I risks (blood/body fluid, biological agents) and hazardous chemicals.Special Conditions
