Compliance and Contract Manager
The Compliance and Contract Manager works closely with various business to business (B2B) development stakeholders to identify and coordinate jurisdiction compliance requirements and contractual provisions that require awareness, informed decision making, and coordination within BYU Continuing Education (CE). The manager works under the guidance of the associate dean for online programs and closely with the attorney assigned to CE in analyzing and advising CE regarding state and local compliance and vendor contract matters. The manager ensures that contracts are executed properly and meet the business requirements of the organization. She/he serves on CE's B2B committee. The manager supports other regulatory and compliance matters as assigned.
What you'll do in this position:
Identify and advise regarding jurisdiction compliance requirements and contractual provisions
Manage and coordinate compliance with requirements and contractual provisions
Review final RFP submission to determine if submission complies with BYU policy and Office of General Counsel contracting standards and practices and accurately reflects subject matter expert (SME) responses
Assist B2B committee in gathering information to answer questions and requests for additional information from potential customers
Facilitate annual licensing contract assessments and renewals
Support other regulatory and compliance matters such as setting up accounts and system connections for accepting payments and monitoring payments received
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
Bachelor's Degree in related field AND at least 3 years contract management experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
Juris Doctor or master's degree in a related field (e.g., Master of Public Administration) AND 3 years contract management experience in secondary/higher education; OR the equivalent of education/work experience.
