Nikkiso ACD

is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as – 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.

This position is based at Nikkiso ACD located in Santa Ana, CA.

Job Overview:The Warehouse Manager is responsible for oversight and management of day-to-day warehouse activities and team of warehouse employees. The Warehouse Manager leads the support of a variety of plant operations including shipping, receiving, loading and unloading of trucks, cycle counts, and other inventory related activities. As a management level employee, the individual in this role is responsible for demonstrating and enforcing safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all Warehouse Operations employees (stockroom, shipping, and receiving)

Drive team development

Develop/Distribute Warehouse Operations training materials

Develop/Optimize efficient layouts, workflows and utilization of warehouse space

Utilize warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP) to track and analyze processes and performance

Use independent judgement and discretion to maintain order, structure, and a cohesive team environment

Report monthly KPI’s of each department to immediate Manager/Director

Organize and maintain inventory and stock control (FIFO)

Organize/Lead 5S events

Ensure the safety of staff and effective use of warehouse equipment

Identifies areas in need of process improvement

Recruit and train employees; monitor staff performance

Monitors shipments and deliveries maintained via an items record and documents

Communicates with customers and clients, as required, to resolve problems and ensure orders are fulfilled to customers expectations

Perform ERP system transactions as required

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a manufacturing warehouse

Experience with cycle counts

Attention to detail

Ability to handle multiple responsibilities

Utilize exceptional communication skills, verbal and written

Ability to work with all levels of staff within the organization

Ability to be flexible to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary

Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters

Ability to remain organized at all times

Team building skills

Must be an innovative self-starter and open to new ideas

Demonstrated ability to lead changes towards continuous improvement. Lean and Six sigma experience preferred.

Work Environment:

This job operates in both a professional office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Required PPE must be worn on shop floor.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

The ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
