About the Role:Are you experienced in the affordable housing industry and ready to take your career to the next level? Join our growing RightSource team as a Compliance Specialist! We are seeking detail-oriented professionals with expertise in Section 8, HOME, Rural Development, and Tax Credit programs.What You’ll Do:Use your strong prioritization skills to complete certification processing and ensure files are reviewed within a strict 24-hour period.Process Housing Assistance Payments (HAP), complete Special Claims, review EIV (Enterprise Income Verification), implement Gross Rents, and create repayment agreements.Handle MINC (Multifamily Information and Notification System) transmissions, review and approve Project Worksheet, gross rent implementations, unauthorized rental assistance, and the assignment of rental assistance.Oversee the submission of annual tenant data for Agency Reporting. Participate in and complete reviews for Section 8, Tax Credit, HOME, or RD (Rural Development) programs.Be proactive and prepare client documents for audit reports, reconciliation of discrepancies, and completion of all forms and required paperwork.Create and update internal and external procedures and develop action plans for non-compliant properties.Utilize your high attention to detail to conduct file audits, prepare and review a variety of documents including PBRA Vouchers and Special Claims, and reconcile HUD Secure Systems TRACS database to client software.Stay abreast of updates and changes in affordable housing programs and requirements.Be empathetic and care about the work you do – each file you process represents a person or family applying for assistance for affordable housing.Who You Are:Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience and/or training.6+ years of relevant experience in the Affordable Housing space.Advanced knowledge of local, state, and federal housing regulations and property management.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook.Solid understanding of Section 8, Section 42, HOME, and RD programs and requirements.Proficiency in HUD Secure Systems (TRACS, EIV) and working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.A love for details and the ability to maintain organization.Strong team orientation and desire to go the extra mile.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Motivation – you are internally driven and can exercise sound judgment.Flexibility, and the ability to be resourceful and manage changing priorities.Ideal to Have:Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS).Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) or equivalent.Housing Compliance Manager for Home Funds certification.Annual compensation range:
