SUMMARY:The Project Manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of medium- and large-scale projects, while remaining aligned with Central City Concern's strategy, commitments and goals. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with members of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, the Safety and Security Department and other organizational leaders to ensure organizational projects and strategic initiatives are completed in a timely manner, that these projects are tracked through their maintenance phase, and that metrics are collected and reported as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work collaboratively with CCC leadership to further the mission of Central City Concern.With ERM and the Safety and Security Leadership, assemble and update interdepartmental systems and processes to:

Engage stakeholders, including but not limited to directors, managers, and staff, in the planning and execution of projects, and assure their needs are addressed appropriately.Assure projects are sequenced, planned, and executed in collaboration with and responsive to the needs of all relevant programs.

Plan and implement projects:

Help define project scope, goals and metrics deliverables.Define tasks and required resources, create schedule and project timelines, and track deliverables.Assemble and manage project teams, build coalitions and consensus, and provide support and mentorship to team members to achieve objectives.Monitor and report on project progress, including stakeholders' reports noting roadblocks and mitigation strategies. Implement and manage change when necessary to meet required project outputs.Evaluate and assess results of projects.Under the direction of supervisor, manage project budgets and resource allocation.

Assess the level of resources and capacity impact of projects. Work collaboratively to ensure administrative departments (Finance, Risk, Safety and Security, Compliance, Legal, HR, and Training) have adequate resources to support agency wide initiatives.Provide project evaluation and coaching to programs where needed, focusing on interdepartmental initiatives, including but not limited to:

Evaluating opportunities to improve work flowEvaluating the short-, medium-, and long-term impacts of proposed projects and initiatives.Work closely with the ERM and Safety and Security Departments to identify emerging issues, track transitions from departmental operations, including monitoring and controls.

Develop and maintain strong relationships external to the organization with funders, peers, and other industry partners as appropriate to best serve the needs of the organization.Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.Participate in professional development activities and attend all required trainings in a timely manner.

DESCRIPTION OF OTHER DUTIES:

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Enterprise Risk Management, in collaboration with the Director of Safety and Security.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experience as a Project Manager with both theoretical and practical project management knowledge, including comprehensive understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle. Demonstrated skills in:

Project identification and initiationProject preparation and planningProject execution and controlProject completion and assessmentFamiliarity and experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies would be preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of project management techniques and tools, and proficiency in project management software tools. Excellent computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Critical thinking and problem solving. Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management. Demonstrated business and financial analysis skills.Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities. Demonstrated ability to understand and respond appropriately to the needs of clients and stakeholders.Ability to manage time and meet deadlines. Ability to conduct job responsibilities independently as well as in a highly collaborative management model.Ability to conduct job responsibilities in a constantly changing financial, regulatory and service environment.Detail-oriented, with ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.Ability to effectively communicate and establish and maintain good working relationships across diverse stakeholders.Knowledge of de-escalation methods or ability to be trained in de-escalation methods.Ability to work in busy environment setting where people may be hostile or abusive.Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and courteously, both orally and in writing, with the general public, clients, patients, medical personnel and co-workers.Sound decision-making skills and excellent professional judgment, including ability to handle sensitive and confidential information on a daily and ongoing basis.Ability to maintain highest standards of confidentiality with regard to patient/client information as well as operational and clinical information.Ability to learn and apply training instruction.Experience with office machines (fax, photocopier, phone systems) required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in health services, business, finance, human resources, public administration, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.Certificate in Project Management (CPM), Project Management Professional (PMP) or demonstrated progress towards such certifications strongly preferred.Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a complex health care or housing organization, or project management.Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.Ability to adhere to Central City Concern's drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects.Ability to climb stairs several times a day.Must adhere to agency's non-discrimination policies.Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, political affiliation, cultural backgrounds, life-styles and sexual orientations and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
