Position Summary:
The Sales Order Specialist (SOS) will work as part of the Order Services team to support the Sales organization in preparing and validating license & support deals for submission to Order Service Coordinators.Key Duties & Responsibilities
Provide guidance and support to sales on quotes.Provide Legal Level 1 support and generate contractual agreements for all license lines of business.Order Processing – Generate, review, and validate all orders with focus on accuracy and completion for submission.Proactively engage with sales teams to ensure orders are compliant.Ensure all approvals are in place prior to paperwork being released to sales.Ensure all orders are submitted on a timely basis according to established order submission deadlines.Develop & maintain a detailed working knowledge of the Quote to Invoice process.Provide support and assist in the resolution & clarification of order information, invoicing, collections, and passwords.Expected to be the point of contact and trusted advisor.Capabilities & Competencies for Success
Working knowledge of Oracle, SFDC, and MS Office Suite.Must possess strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness with regard to all processes.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Able to manage the order process with sales with respect to communication, expectations, validation, and completion of order packets.Must have the ability to work remotely and use the escalation process when required.Excellent written and communication skills required.Ability to identify and resolve issues, using sound judgement in a timely manner.
