Department is seeking to hire an

Alternative Sentencing Facility (ASF) Sentencing Programs Manager . This position provides oversight of multiple alternative sentencing programs within the Community Justice Services Alternative Sentencing Facility. Supervises ASF sentencing programs staff and/or contract staff and manages all vendor contracts that fall within the scope of sentencing programs. Provides oversight of comprehensive offender management and acts as a point of contact for other county departments and outside agencies.

8:00am - 5:00pm , with

varied hours

depending on workload need. This position will work out of the Alternative Sentencing Facility, the Boulder and Longmont Justice Centers, and the Boulder County Jail located in Boulder County, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is

exempt .

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.Hiring Salary Range :

for more information.Exercises direct and indirect supervision over professional and Community Justice Services staff as assigned. Includes Timecards, Performance Evaluations and Performance improvement.Assists the ASF Administrator in developing, implementing and supervising local/state/federal standards, policies and guidelines that apply to community-based adult correctional facilities and sentencing programs.Works with courts, probation, and other law enforcement agencies regarding offender assignment, participation and compliance with sentencing programs, including DCJ standards.Formulates and implements policy and procedures for all sentencing programs operated at the ASF.Oversees daily operation of all sentencing programs and related activities and supervision of programs staff. Oversees the evaluation, scheduling and coordination of all incoming Community Justice ASF Clients. Provides program back-up, on-call consultation, and technical assistance to staff.Completes and submits all billing, invoices and payments for various sentencing program needs. Develops proposals and procedures for funding and program enhancement and implements changes.Develops and manages all vendor contracts that fall within the scope of sentencing programs and regularly audits invoiced activities to ensure robust service delivery to programs and clients.Participates on department management team and internal committees, coordinates and conducts regular staff meetings, serves as liaison to local collateral agencies, provides public communication and education, responds to inquiries and complaints.Coordinates with the Operations Manager on all scheduling of staff, scheduling of activities and reports program issues.Assists the Behavioral Health Manager in establishing schedules for residential treatment services being administered at the ASF, regardless of provider.Directs the work of coordinators in program operations, staff scheduling, training, disciplinary actions, staff hiring, etc.Serves as a Team Member to the ASF Administrative Team and collaborates with system partners on justice systems needs and gaps.Formulates and executes plans for client failure to return/escape, client disturbances/riots, work stoppages and all other disturbances and threats to security.Regularly meets with case managers to discuss operational issues, analyzing problems and improving operations.Assists the ASF Administrator in responding to EOC emergency situations and ensures orderly execution of evacuation and/or shelter in place orders.Serves as one of the Product Owners of the ASF facility and client management system where you will be responsible for defining the vision of the product for the programs you oversee, prioritizing enhancements, and ensuring the development team delivers value by aligning the product with stakeholder needs and business goals.Performs related work, as required.May be reassigned during emergency situations.PLEASE NOTE : When completing your application describe all relevant education and experience, as applications are assessed based on the required qualifications listed.

Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of

of combined education and experience in the management and operation of residential, adult correctional facilities or related setting involving justice involved clients or related criminal justice or human service program, including

1 year

of experience in a criminal justice supervisory role.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related field.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Strong Self-awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion considerations in working with teams and clients in the criminal justice system.System level knowledge of the Criminal Justice system with particular knowledge in the area of adult correctional settings and alternative sentencing programs; specifically day reporting, home monitoring, work release and community corrections.First-hand knowledge of basic principles in the areas of office management, business management, contract management and risk management.Advanced skill in de-escalation, conflict resolution and motivational interviewing.Supervisory principles, procedures, and methods including selection, training, discipline, and evaluation.Understanding of basic business and office protocols and use of various software systems to include SharePoint and Excel.Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills.Boulder County is a workplace dedicated to supporting individuals and families of all types and to
