We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:Hybrid - Primarily a remote position with occasional onsite work at the Allina Commons0.5 FTE (40 hours per two-week period)Day shifts with flexible hours and shift lengthsNo weekendsJob Description:Support department through registration of patients/clients, scheduling, tracking and reporting of data, administrative support, and other department-specific duties.Principal Responsibilities:Register patients/clients.

Collect information from patient/client/family member.Collect additional information and/or authorizations from other departments, systems, or insurance resources.Enter data into registration system and scan documents as needed.Obtain required signatures.Collect financial obligation as indicated.

Schedule patients/clients.

Answer scheduling phones and obtain all required information.Ensure that appropriate provider orders and/or authorizations are obtained in accordance with payor requirements.Schedule patients in Excellian.Review and modify schedules as needed, including wait-list maintenance.Communicate schedule changes to impacted staff.May contact patient/client/family to schedule subsequent visits, to give pre-visit instructions, or for appointment reminders.May enter data into medical records.

Provide administrative support.

Provide administrative support to managers.Track and report department, quality, budget and billing data.Support Information Technology needs of the department.May coordinate conferences and meetings.May manage staff schedules and timecards.May order and maintain office supplies and equipment.May assist with revision and review of brochures and other media.May provide outside clients with department and educational information.May maintain databases.May assist with policy development and maintenance.

Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description.2 to 5 years experience in office administration and data entry.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.2 to 5 years experience with electronic medical record and medical terminology.Physical Demands:Light Work:Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently.
