JOB SUMMARY:

The Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) is seeking an assistant director to support the Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub. The purpose of the AI hub at the Wisconsin School of Business is to serve as the focal point for all AI related activities at the WSB. It serves four primary functions that relate to AI: support research, nurture industry connections, host industry and academic events for students, and support AI related communications at the WSB. In this administrative role, the assistant director will work closely with the AI hub director to support the four primary functions. The assistant director will design, develop, and execute processes related to faculty support for AI related research, AI event planning for students, internal and external communications, AI@WSB website management, and an AI conference. The assistant director will report to the AI hub director and will work in close collaboration with internal (e.g., students, staff, faculty) and external stakeholders (e.g., industry, alumni) of the WSB.PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Support research:

The assistant director will offer administrative support for UW-Madison undergraduate and graduate students supporting faculty research.Support industry connections:

The assistant director will support the hub director in fostering industry partnerships for student education and faculty research.Manage events:

The assistant director will support and enable faculty and industry speaker events in the AI arena. They will also help organize an AI conference.Manage communications:

The assistant director will assist the hub director in AI related communications at WSB.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees the daily management of programs, services, activities, facilities, policies and/or processes in order to support student success in various areas of student affairs. Works under broad, administrative direction with significant responsibility for assigned area(s) of responsibility. Responds to inquiries from University departments, educational institutions, the community, and/or external agencies.
