Journeyman Level Contracts Support Specialist:
Key Skills:
Acquisition Specialist with Construction Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
At least four (4) years relevant experience in Federal contracting.
Documented experience in pre and post-award acquisitions processes with minimal assistance or training.
Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Familiarity with FAR and VAAR based procurements.
Experience in procuring construction contracts.
Duties Required:
Solicit, evaluate, negotiate, analyze, advise, and assist with awards and terminations on contracts for the procurement of supplies and services, including complex contracts and high dollar acquisitions.
Analyze and evaluate certified cost and pricing data and other types of pricing information to determine price reasonableness.
Prepare contract files and electronic documents.
Prepare contracting recommendations for the Contracting Officer that require research and interpretation of evolving government regulations, policies, guidance, and laws.
