Dental insuranceCompany-paid Vision, Life, and Long and Short-Term Disability insurance401k safe harbor retirement plan(18) days of Paid Time OffVoluntary LifeTeleDoc programIdentity protectionTuition ReimbursementPaid time off for community outreach and volunteeringEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintains regular communication with key vendors with regards to forecast, material requirements and vendor performance.Works to ensure that all procurement needs for both manufacturing and development are met in a timely manner.Interfaces with Operations Management and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.Interacts with ERP system to manage purchasing and material processing.Supports inbound receiving activity to ensure that all activity is completed in a timely manner.Manages waste removal activity.Recruits, trains, mentors and develops the material team for success and future growth.Inventory Management:
Conducts periodic checks of inventory and replenishes as required.Maintains all inventory categories and product lines for the business.Determine raw material requirements based on new orders and ERP generated information.Manages min-max levels and kanban systems to ensure sufficient levels of inventory.Communicates regularly with production and engineering departments to attain new project needs.Coordinate delivery of raw materials with operations team and engineering.Oversees cycle count and corrections to ensure stock accuracy.
Material Purchasing:
Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends supplies with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness.Purchase production materials as necessary to anticipate customer needs while managing optimal inventory levels.Purchases non-inventory supplies.Initiates purchase orders and amendments for materials and services.Escalate supplier issues to Operations Management when appropriate.Regularly reviews open orders with regards to changes in demand and inventory position, reschedules/cancels orders accordingly and corrects open PO’s to update necessary changes.
Responsible for continuous improvement actions with developing, expanding and maintaining an effective supply chain procurement process.Assists in other work related areas as required.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):BS degree in a business related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.3-7 years of progressive purchasing, materials and logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.Supervisory experience.Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.Advanced working knowledge of inventory control systems.Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems to manage vendor, cost and delivery performance statistics.Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.APICS certification a strong plus.Medical Murray is an equal-opportunity employer.
