Job Summary** Hybrid position: Onsite work required; Local candidates or must be willing to relocate**

The Epic Reporting Analyst I serves as a member of the department's initial support for the assigned Epic application's operational (transactional) data and reporting requests. Engages with users to understand their business operations, processes and user needs. Works through assigned tickets/issues and resolves problems of a routine nature, performing updates or edits to existing data extracts and reporting or developing new routine extracts and reports. Participates in guiding and educating end-users on the use and interpretation of data extracts and reporting.

This Epic Reporting Analyst I will be responsible for:Engaging with end-users to understand the specific data/reporting needs within the context of requests. May assist senior team members in identifying business requirements and in defining Epic data or reporting solutions.Supporting ongoing operational reporting by building and editing basic to more complex hyperspace reports and dashboards. Informs end users about the underlying data and guides them in the use of these reporting tools. Conducts unit tests of own work and engages team members in second level QA testing. Validates with senior team member before presenting/publishing reporting to end user. Produces/Updates documentation for extracts and reporting. Keeps internal end user documentation accurate and up to date. May assist in the testing/quality assurance of other team members' more routine solutions.Responding to assigned routine support tickets involving new straightforward requests or edits to existing queries, reports or extracts. Tracks patterns of issues to identify training needs, underlying data or reporting issues, or potential enhancement opportunities to address business operational needs.Updating and executing straightforward extracts using SQL.May participate in special projects as necessary. EDW: Supports routine inquiries and editing of existing data and reports based on the EDW. Pricing: May participate in supporting chargemaster (services and billing) data maintenance efforts by performing imports or manual build of prices and contracts in Epic hyperspace.Assist with data audits to ensure integrity.May participate in presentations to operational/accounting end users. Engages in ongoing communications with multiple teams related to supported application and operational processes. Actively participates in recurring team meetings to discuss the status of deliverables, roadblocks, shared issues, end-user concerns, etc. Participates in routine communications with Epic representatives, as necessary to review outstanding support, request assistance, etc.Attends local conferences, additional Epic training, and/or internal BCH offerings. May attend external forums (i.e., Epic XGM Support - Expert Group Meeting).In order to qualify, you must have:

Epic certification in Professional Billing or Revenue CycleExperience with SQL/Crystal with Clarity, Clarity extracts, Epic Caboodle Queries, Hyperspace self-service reporting tools including Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer models and Radar Dashboards.High School Diploma / GEDAt least 6 months of Epic core data model certification training and subsequent experience successfully applying knowledge to resolving routine issues.Direct system/application support/data analysis and reporting experience involving operational analysis will be credited.Boston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
