The Royal Group (TRG), an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Plant Manager in Louisville, KY. As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for directing production, distribution, maintenance, and supervisory operations of the plant by performing the below duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

TRG requires the following skills and abilities:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Five or more years’ experience as a managerPreferred that employees have prior work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience and knowledge of corrugated production and converting machinery.Ability to apply advanced calculations such as probability, fractions, ratios, percentages, and proportions to work issues.Ability to read, analyze and interpret operating instructions, training and procedure manuals, government regulations, agreements, and contracts. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.Organization skillsMultitaskingSuperior time managementEmployee relationsComputer competenceDemonstrates confidence providing a consistent leadership style with an acceptable level of professional assertiveness.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

As a Plant Manager at TRG you will:Lead all departments in the plant with department supervisors to maintain safety, quality, and efficient production.Establish high morale throughout staff by showing fairness, consistency and an interest in employee problems while maintaining confidentiality.Review production costs and product quality; modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.Report any mechanical, scheduling or personnel problems that may have significant effects on production.Responsible for training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Develops and implements plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees.Responsible for the upkeep of machinery; coordinate maintenance work with minimum downtime.Solve production problems that cannot be resolved at the supervisory level.Helps coordinate safety, quality, and training activities.Improve career skills by enrolling in seminars, technical courses, and related college courses.Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety programs and good housekeeping.Write reports, correspondence, and emails, clearly and effectively.Communicate with Accounting, Customer Service, HR, and Purchasing the various needs of the production department.Work with Sales and Design on new styles or items on existing equipment. Work with Sales to determine proper instructions forwarded to production for producing items.Conducts meetings with all employees as needed to convey company information or upcoming events.Report quality issues and assist with quality guidelines.Regular and predictable attendanceAdditional duties as assigned.
