Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, a leading manufacturer of specialized glass contact refractories, is currently accepting applications for Insulation Forming and Firing Planner at its Corhart facility located in Buckhannon, WV.The Insulation Forming and Firing Planner reports to the Forming and Firing IPT Manager and is accountable for the production planning of all insulation products in the forming and firing operations.Insulation Forming and Firing Planner:Plan and schedule the production of all insulation products in the Forming and Firing operationsWork with Master Planner to ensure that production is balanced and paced appropriately to ensure timely delivery of ware to downstream processes through adherence to order milestonesCollaborates with department supervisor to set priorities to ensure that materials, equipment, and human resources are utilized efficientlyWork with department supervisors, engineers, as well as the IPT manager to ensure that the production plan makes good sense and is in the customer’s best interestWork with SAP to create material numbers, establish BOM/routings, and generate POs for the various stages of operationCollaborates with the Customer Service department on completing RFQs (Request for Quote) for customersGenerate and distribute load sheets for kiln burnsProvide regular updates and reports on production progressFills in for IPT Supervisor as neededESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Insulation Forming and Firing PlannerPlan and schedule the production of all insulation products through all forming and firing operationsWorks with various teams to ensure a timely and efficient plan is made and executed correctly the first timeCollaborates with Procurement to ensure that raw materials are available and fit with the plan createdCollaborates with Quality and Product Engineering personnel as well as hourly associates in problem solving sessions (Quick Kaizens) and executes the actions developed from those sessionsCollaborates with off-site colleagues on quality enhancements and is directly involved with helping to engineer solutionsCompletes SAP BOM/Routings and material number creation to ensure that the correct financial data is collectedModels Corhart guidelines to develop and maintain a high-performance team culture and ensure all hourly associates model the sameIdentifies inefficiencies or gaps in the planning process and utilizes skills to develop systems and processes to streamline where necessary utilizing WCM/Lean tools to drive culture of continuous improvementProvides team with a holistic view of the plan and helps to bring all the moving parts together to increase the chances of the plan’s successHelps communicate the plane to supervisors, engineers, and most importantly the shop floor personnel so that everyone understands the objectivesPromotes a strong safety culture by conducting BBS observations, completing yellow cards, and participating in safety team meetingsBehavioral role model for all EHS standards; 5S & workplace organization practices; plant rules and safety regulations; and Saint Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.Accountable for fostering a safe IPT work culture. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and quickly address them to prevent injuries and property loss. Conducts safety audits, investigations, and job safety analysis on a regular basisPartners with IST leaders to continuously improve EHS culture, awareness and accountabilityRequired Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:4 year degree in a related field or a combination of work experience and educationGood understanding of mathematics and analytical methods3-5 years of manufacturing experienceSound knowledge and demonstrable success of planning in a production environmentPrevious experience in high performance teams or self-directed teams in a production environmentPRACTICAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts or World Class Manufacturing (WCM)Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and relevant industry standard practicesExperience participating in audits and implementing quality management systemsDemonstrated & understanding of ceramic materials and applicationsComputer proficiency, including a strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience in change management and continuous improvement projectsLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Lean/Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, preferredAdditional Description

WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with limited HVAC, concrete floors, and exposure to industrial noise, dust, OSHA-approved chemicals, and temperature changes.PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazards or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodatedPerform tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, gripping, stair, and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
