Position Overview:
Great Rift Transportation is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee our truck fleet operations in American Falls, Idaho. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Fleet Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the truck fleet, including scheduling, maintenance, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery of orders.Order Fulfillment:
Ensure all loads are completed efficiently and accurately according to customer specifications and delivery schedules.Fleet Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and well-maintained fleet of trucks and equipment to uphold the company's image of professionalism and reliability.Safety Program:
Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols and training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize accidents and injuries.Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of drivers and staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Financial Management:
Monitor and manage operational expenses, budgeting, and financial performance to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality service standards.Other Duties:
Undertake any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by senior management that align with the role and contribute to the overall success of the company.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience in fleet management or logistics operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards pertaining to the transportation industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Benefits:Competitive salary (to be determined during the interview process).Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, dental, health, vision, and orthodontics insurance.401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching.Job Type: Full-timePay: $53,613.86 - $84,567.22 per yearSupplemental Pay:Yearly bonusTrucking Route:LocalRegionalAbility to Commute:American Falls, ID (Required)Ability to Relocate:American Falls, ID: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
