Overview

Position Summary:Responsible for a wide array of tasks pertaining to the flow of materials through the manufacturing center. These tasks include general warehouse duties of shipping & receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, issuing materials to/ returning from work orders, temperature control and safe handling of formulation chemicals/biologicals, controlling labeling material, transacting finished goods, processing and delivering expense materials, etc. Expected to champion and lead GMP processes and documentation. In addition, this position may have limited responsibilities for purchasing, interaction with suppliers, and MRP/Material Master configuration. Employees in this role will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all inventory control and warehouse processes and be capable of supporting the department in various capacities.Responsibilities

Key AccountabilitiesEssential Functions:Physically handles all aspects of raw materials and finished goodsReceive and transact raw materials, intermediates, in-process material into inventory and/or work ordersPhysically return and transact unused raw material and intermediates from work ordersPrint and issue labels required by Finishing Dept; Reconcile returned label quantitiesSupport incoming inspections group as needed; prioritize and coordinate activities to ensure incoming raw materials are available for production when neededParticipates in regular safety audits and discussions; Safely handle and store chemical and biological inventoryDetect paperwork errors prior to data entry transactionsMonitors temperature sensitive materials and ensures they are properly storedFosters and maintains good housekeeping/SS in warehousePerforms cycle counts and assists in inventory reconciliations. Improves accuracy of Bills of Material when needed by executing change ordersMove between functional areas on demand per the needs of the Materials deptRecommends and helps drive improvements to inventory systems and processesBasic tactical purchasing responsibilities and supplier interactionIdentify potential issues by reading and understanding MRP and Material Master configurations.Able to execute Change OrdersDemonstrates competency in all functional areas of responsibilityOther related duties as assigned by supervisor or dept. ManagerNetworking/Key Relationships:

Interfaces with Operations staff in formulation, filling, and finishingWorks regularly with Procurement and Demand Planning staff to ensure overall departmental cohesivenessWorks with Inventory Analyst to ensure accuracy of transactions and plant compliance with inventory proceduresHelps coordinate efforts with external kitting/re-work service providersQualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredSome College coursework desirableMinimum of 5 Years Experience in computerized GMP warehouse environmentMinimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment within a computerized MRP inventory systemSkills & Capabilities:PC skills (MS Excel, Inventory Systems, MRP Systems)SAP Experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracy of transactionsExcellent communication skillsHas quantitative math skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesBe a self-starter and "hands-on" learner able to rotate between a variety of dutiesTravel Requirements:

N/AThe hourly wage range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $29 to $31. Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
