We are looking for a 2nd shift Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Job Summary:Responsible for overseeing and enforcing quality assurance and quality control operations in manufacturing processes to ensure that finished products are timely released to market with food safety and quality compliance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervise employees in the quality assurance department.Responsible for scheduling QA technician to fulfill operational needs.Responsible for hiring and training food quality technicians.Duties/Responsibilities:Supervise and manage the quality assurance technicians.Responsible for enforcing GMPs and other quality related policies in order to meet production food safety requirements and quality standards.Collaborate with production teams and USDA inspectors to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Conduct daily audits of production processes to ensure compliance with food safety & quality standards.Conduct regular daily walkthroughs.Maintain strong communication with upper management.Conduct inspection checks on goods and production processes.Perform manual and automated quality checks.Ensure employees adhere to safety and quality regulations.Report safety and quality deviations to the QA/Food Safety Manager.Calibrate and clean testing equipment.Support customer complaints investigations.Initiate corrective action when food safety and quality deviations occur.Perform inventory of quality supplies.Train QA employees on testing procedures, policies, and procedures.Review and organize daily paperwork.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and make effective decisions.Experienced with computer data entry required.Education and Experience:High School certificate; a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, food science or related field is a plus.1 to 3 years’ experience working in food production/food manufacturing environment.HACCP Certification Required.Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Supervisor or in a similar role required.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas.This position requires an employee to work within a cold, temperature-controlled environment for long periods of time.This position requires the ability to stand, sit at a desk, and walk around office and plant.This position requires a transient schedule, with the possibility of night, weekend, holiday work, and overtime necessary to meet the needs of production coverage.
