Commodity Price Risk Management experience (Hedge experience is a plus)This position will carve out a need between Tactical and Strategic Procurement in the business and focus on Commodity Price Risk Management in long-term cost savings as the goal. This position will collaborate regularly with the finance department and needs to be highly analytical. Candidate needs to be able to build cost modeling reports and use key data to present recommendations to management and drive key business decisions. The candidate will need to be able to evaluate and negotiate commodity contracts. Needs to be strong with Excel and PowerPoint. Needs to be a self-starter and comfortable driving results without constant direction.Interview Process

Procom is on the lookout for an exceptionally skilled and detail-oriented Senior Procurement Strategic Analyst to enhance our clients dynamic procurement team. This pivotal role is centered around advancing risk management strategies, optimizing sourcing operations, and leveraging data analysis to align with and propel the organization's strategic goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities

Formulate and execute a comprehensive risk management framework for key commodities, including ingredients and packaging.Gather, analyze, and interpret market data to provide insightful analysis, price forecasts, and market trends.Utilize advanced tools, including AI, for data analytics to support strategic decision-making processes.Perform regular market forecasting to pinpoint potential risks and opportunities, aiding the procurement team in making informed decisions.Collaborate with procurement operations to develop and maintain cost models for essential commodities.Undertake thorough analysis of market trends and pricing structures to ensure accurate cost projections and savings initiatives.Spearhead RFI/P/Q processes, including detailed scenario analysis and supplier selection recommendations.Develop and maintain a comprehensive procurement toolkit to streamline processes and support team training and development.Act as a project lead on high-value initiatives, steering projects to successful completion.Assess supplier performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement and supplier development strategies.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields.Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain within the food manufacturing sector.Proficient in technical applications such as Excel and Power BI, with strong analytical and data manipulation skills.In-depth knowledge of commodity markets, risk management practices, and pricing strategies.Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and continuous improvement skills.Excellent communication abilities with experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and maintain collaborative cross-functional relationships.A proactive mindset with a drive for taking on new challenges and pushing the status quo.Preferred Skills

Experience with procurement software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics365, Coupa, Jaegger, Mintec).Professional certification in supply chain management or procurement (CSCP, CPSM) is advantageous.This role is designed for individuals who are forward-thinking, with a knack for generating innovative ideas that contribute to a sustained competitive advantage.
