Picking & Shipping Specialist

On any given day, a walk through our office will show you a reef tank (or two) on nearly every desk, lively collaboration, and successful business thanks to an emphasis on the core values every BRS employee lives by.General Description:This position will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders and preparing orders for shipping in a timely and accurate manner. This position works in a team environment with set guidelines to uphold BRS quality standards, established deadlines, and safe work habits to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled efficiently.This is a full-time, day shift position.Primary Responsibilities:Select products by SKU and descriptions using a handheld scanner to fulfill orders.Examine all products related to customer orders.Use basic math skills to count, measure, weigh or otherwise verify information and products selected against customers’ orders or other records related to orders.Prepare items for shipping by inspecting for damage, cleaning, and bagging parts if necessary.Pack orders in a safe, neat, and professional manner.Use order fulfillment software to print shipping labels and affix to customer packaging.Sort packages according to destination and shipping carrier.Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established procedures.Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.Other duties and projects as needed.Work Experience and Abilities:1 year of order fulfillment, shipping, manufacturing, warehouse, or other relevant fast-paced experience (preferred).Organized, detail-oriented, and ability to concentrate on fine detail with interruptions.Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.Thrive in a high-energy, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.Education Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).Benefits Offered:We offer a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, & life insurance, paid time off, STD/LTD, 401K, weekly pay, and company-wide fun including catered lunches, meat raffles, annual competitions, and much, much more!
