The increasing infrastructure build-out continues to drive market opportunities throughout the United States and an increased regional focus we will be positioned to support the growth of our practice.HDR is seeking a strategic-minded Regional Power Delivery Practice Leader to partner with our internal client, project, and operational teams and with our clients to sculpt the strategies around diversification and growth of power delivery services to support the evolution of the power grid.Who you areYou are an industry leader and knowledgeable about the power delivery market. You are a difference maker.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop strategy, set goals and drive results for HDR’s power delivery practice of the future.Collaborate with peer leaders in business lines across the engineering and architecture business lines at HDR.Represent HDR as our regional power delivery lead in the industry.Nurture relationships with clients to understand their challenges and strategies.Create a cohesive practice across multiple offices, disciplines, and power delivery services.Establish and drive objectives that support the HDR annual and five-year strategic plans for the power delivery business.Collaborate with local and regional operations, client development leaders, and power delivery leadership team.Partner with HDR stakeholders and clients to explore and execute on HDR’s priorities.Develop strategy and identify teaming partner relationships that enhance HDR’s market position.Support staff development and assess HDR’s power delivery staff.Participate in power market sector efforts such as strategic planning initiatives and business development.Partner with HDR operations leadership to implement strong staffing and financial goals.Serve as principal project manager on select projects and an advisor to more junior staff.Preferred Qualifications10 years strategic leadership experience focused on developing and leading technical teams.5 years focus on providing diverse power delivery solutions to the industry.PMP certification.Participant in industry professional organizations, publications and conferences.Track record presenting at conferences and representing a company in the power delivery industry.Experience working with a variety of client types including regulated and non-regulated utilities.Strong brand recognition in the power delivery industry.Demonstrated ability to establish new business relationships and maintain client satisfaction.Experience with consulting, planning, design, construction, and operation of power delivery projects.Travel will consist of approximately 25%-50% of time.Must have excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.Strong technical understanding of transmission and distribution systems.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.10 years experience in related field.Maintains a professional or Engineering registration.Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.Works cooperatively with other business class regional directors and managers.Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.Primary Location : United States-North Carolina-CharlotteOther Locations : Various locations across the United States.Industry : PowerSchedule : Full-timeEmployee Status : RegularBusiness Class : Transmission/Distribution EngJob Posting : Sep 16, 2024At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.We are an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.Ready to learn more?
