WHO WE AREThe primary focus of CEX is to provide policy direction, reinforce accountability, and ensure the achievement of results for our residents. The County Executive oversees the enforcement of the laws of Montgomery County and provides Executive direction to all departments and offices of the County government. The County Executive also develops policies; proposes plans, programs, budgets, and legislation to the County Council; adopts Executive Orders and Regulations and appoints residents to boards, committees, and commissions. The CAO is responsible for overseeing operations and services of over 30 executive branch departments and a 10,000-person workforce supporting a jurisdiction that is over 500 square miles with 1.06 million residents.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe Office of the County Executive is currently recruiting for an Office Services Coordinator. The position is primarily responsible for serving as the front desk receptionist of the Office of the County Executive and other administrative duties as assigned. The employee will be fully trained for these assignments. This position will also include a variety of general office support tasks.The selected individual will have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, listen and respond patiently and professionally, assist visitors, and deal tactfully, effectively, and equitably with a diverse range of customers.Anticipated salary upon hire: $53,510 - $79,191.The Office Services Coordinator is responsible for providing daily administrative support (its general administration, fiscal administration, and facility-logistical support) to the Office of the County Executive in coordination with the Administrative Services Manager. The Office Services Coordinator must identify administrative requirements, ensure administrative workflow within the office, process and/or coordinate a wide range of administrative and fiscal transactions. Due to the key job responsibilities, this position is not qualified to telework and is an in-person, on-site position only.Monitor MC311 Siebel system for Service Requests that have been assigned to the CEX office.Answer calls received on 240-777-2550. Greet visitors as they enter the 2nd floor reception area and escort CE visitors as appropriate. Provide the requested information or assistance.Order and maintain office supplies.Maintain office files.Assist with scheduling.Utilize and maintain County issued purchasing card to procure office supplies and other products for office and/or county use as directed by CEX Administrative Manager.Enter board applications into onboarding system for Boards, Committees, and Commissions and conduct online searches on candidates.Submit service requests for facility repairs, telecommunications, and technology.Maintain clean appearance of the front reception area and conference rooms.Draft and complete certificate requests with the Correspondence Manager.Minimum Requirements:Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.Four (4) years of progressively responsible office experience.Possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class “C” (equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant's state of residence.Experience providing quality customer service to the general public.Assisting customers from diverse backgrounds.Managing a front desk/reception area.Experience using personal computers and applications, including databases.Experience handling multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.Experience with work requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
