POSITION PURPOSE

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize process efficiency and productivity. In addition, the Supply Chain Manager plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.

Oversee the process used in supply chain management to respond in a timely fashion to requests for quotes and proposals.

Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Directs and coordinates the supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.

Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.

Monitors and corrects inventory levels to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.

Collaborates with logistics department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.

Supports proper utilization of ERP system (NetSuite).

Identifies gaps in processes related to supply chain; conducts root cause analysis and identifies strategies to fill the gaps. Implements identified processes to closure.

Oversee analysis of supply chain effectiveness, vendor risk, and vendor performance and implement guidelines on effective vendor management.

Member of the operations staff, responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in the Manufacturing Industry in addition to 7 years of progressive people management/supervisory experience in Supply Chain.

Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite highly preferred.

High degree of professionalism to include strong diplomacy, tact, and the ability to ensure the security of highly confidential information.
