Develop and test Lucy mission encounter science observation sequences.Create visualization products for review by the science team.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

Weekly attendance at meetings with the science and operation teams to formulate plans and review progress.Implement requests from the Lucy science team for modifications and additions to the spacecraft science sequences using existing Lucy mission sequence planning tools.Assess the impact of these modifications on the quality of the resulting science data (e.g., spatial resolution, coverage, and signal-to-noise ratio) using existing tools developed by the science team.Provide weekly reports back on the results of this work to the Lucy mission science team.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Astronomy or a related field with relevant experience.1 year of familiarity with space mission science goals, understanding mission science requirements and asteroid target characteristics.1 year of familiarity with space mission operations and planning procedures, including a thorough understanding of instrument and spacecraft capabilities, development timelines, and roles of key personnel.1 year of experience with mission planning tools, including the ability to use the Trojan Planning File Generator (TPFG) and Science Encounter Simulation Software (SESS).Special Requirements:
