Job Description:

This role primarily supports the various initiatives in the Data Governance Capability & Control team. This role functionally reports to the Data Quality Issue Management Lead.

Job Duties:Review autogenerated data quality issues and self-identified data issues from line of businesses (e.g., review issues reported, understand problem statement/root cause, perform data sanity checks, survey for downstream impact and risk assessment) by coordinating and driving meetings with appropriate Subject Matter Expert.Identify and document high severity self-identified data issues for escalation/awareness.Provide governance and oversight of the autogenerated data quality issues and self-identified data issues in the issue management workflow tool (i.e., content provided is accurate and fields are populated correctly on the issue management workflow tool).Partner with Subject Matter Expert and business or technology stakeholders to drive high severity self-identified data issues to remediation.Perform operational activities to ensure data governance reporting / metrics are up to date.Perform operational tasks to ensure content on the change request submitted by line of business is accurate.Perform due diligence data sanity checks on content entered in the change request via the workflow tool.Review, document, and conduct data quality controls and collect evidence as required.Prepare PowerPoint deck for various data governance working groups/forums (e.g., Cross Data Issue) and document minutes with action items assigned to appropriate owner.Assist in gathering, defining, and documenting business requirements for enhancing the issue management workflow tool.Assist in performing UAT (User Assurance Testing) of the issue management workflow tool.Maintain team’s file saved on the SharePoint, shared drive, and Confluence site.Provide user trainings about the issue management process and the workflow tool.Assist in ad-hoc projects.Qualifications:Eager to learn and have a can-do attitude.Ability to adapt new processes, technology, and strategy in a fluid environment.Ability to hold oneself accountable on assigned multiple tasks assigned.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse audiences.Strong organization, written and communication skills.Strong business analysis and data analysis skills.Appreciation for cultural diversity and difference.Experience in working in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio).Bachelor’s degree or college students.Training in accounting, statistics, data engineering, data science, or computer science.Knowledge of data governance processes and Power BI tools (e.g., Collibra, ServiceNow, an issue management & remediation workflow tool, Confluence, Jira, etc.).Notes:Root cause analysis.Remediation plan.Background in data governance, oversight, and provide root cause analysis.Experience/understanding with financial reporting is a big plus.Experience/understanding with data quality is a plus.ServiceNow is the issue management tool.Will use tools such as Informatica, Collibra, ServiceNow.Formulas and VLOOKUPs in Excel.Stakeholder management experience is a plus.Onsite 3 days per week in Pittsburgh.
