We are looking for a

National Account Executive, Trade & GPO

who is driven, accountable, collaborative, and results-driven to join us in our

Market Access & Affordability Team . This is a

field-based

position that requires up to

50% daily and overnight domestic travel

and is designed to support Eastern Standard Time and Central Standard Time. This opportunity will cover the entire United States including territories such as Puerto Rico.

About the Role

You will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with key distribution stakeholders (national & regional wholesalers, Specialty Distributors, Group Purchasing Organizations, Cash Pay organizations, retail pharmacies, cooperative groups, etc.) at all organizational levels, and across all facets of the identified client's business. These responsibilities will include ensuring the growth of relationships beyond dedicated account managers within each account to executive account level relationships, in-depth analytics which will enhance UCB's opportunity to develop strategies and action plans for each of the designated accounts and to execute a higher level of communication with all internal and external partners to maximize distribution and access of all current and future UCB products.

Who you'll work withThe Trade & GPO National Account Executive leads National & Regional account level efforts for key National Wholesaler, Specialty Distributor, GPO, Cash Pay and Retail Pharmacy accounts and will identify opportunities, overcome obstacles, and work in close collaboration with the Head of Channel Management, Head of Channel & Trade Relations, Specialty Payer Value Strategy Teams, Market Access Teams, Pricing & Contracting Teams, Legal and the Immunology and Neurology business units to execute the distribution channel strategies. You will also work with Finance and Supply Chain Teams. This position will report directly to the Head of Channel Management.

What you'll doExecute strategies and tactical implementation across designated wholesaler accounts, specialty distributors, GPO accounts, the cash pay and customer segments (GPO, Retail pharmacy, etc.).Be an expert in distribution account data (852 and 867) and analytics and work cross-functionally within UCB to ensure appropriate distribution to maintain appropriate wholesaler inventory to support downstream demand for UCB products. Ensure successful launch of new UCB products into the appropriate Trade & GPO channels including all supporting communication and product information & Registration in Puerto Rico.Support Trade & GPO Account contract negotiations with Head of Channel Management, Head of Channel and Trade Relations, Contracts and Pricing and Legal.Collaborate with Trade Team, Trade Operations, Finance, Supply Chain and the Neurology and Immunology business units to effectively manage all end of quarter, end of year and ad hoc customer inventory demands.Penetrate the account, establish strong, sustainable relationships with multiple points of contact within key customers, and move UCB beyond supplier to strategic/tactical partner, always ensuring patient access and a positive patient experience for UCB products.Work with all field representatives, UCB Cares, HCP, retail, wholesale, and any internal personnel to address any patient product access issues. Assess, address, and coordinate internal and external resources for the appropriate and timely resolution, to ensure patient access to UCB products.

Interested? For this position, you'll need the following education, experience and skills:Bachelor's degree in science or business. MBA Preferred.5-10 years of distribution, GPO, pharmaceutical sales management/account management experience is required.Established relationships with National Wholesalers is required.Strong understanding of channel data and channel data vendor space is required.Experience in developing strategic/tactical operating plan development, business management, contract proposal development, negotiation, and analysis is required.

This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $202,500-$236,250 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
