About the role The Marketing Lead will provide commercial governance and strategic leadership over objectives and activities for the U.S. epilepsy and rare syndromes products within the specialty channel (Hospitals, Hospital Systems, Integrated Care Networks, etc).
Who'll you'll work with This role will develop, and champion, channel-specific marketing strategies and solutions and actively innovate within specialty channels, both at the project and organization level, to establish and communicate a clear strategic vision that builds value for patients. This individual will act as the "expert partner" for channel engagement to internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do Marketing Strategy & Solutions (80%) Analyze complex business channels to develop relevant and realistic business plans across the portfolio of epilepsy and rare syndromes products. Lead or co-create development of US commercial strategies within specialty channels, including stakeholder engagement strategy, and delivery of solutions across the portfolio. Serve as specialty channel marketing expert to lead the brand teams and co-creation partners in development of new solutions. Define and implement an appropriate marketing mix, relevant to the channel, that drives HCP engagement and delivers stakeholder value. Ensure appropriate communication of specialty channel strategies across internal functional groups, partnering with the omnichannel marketing team and field sales as appropriate. Actively manageagency plans and budgeting efforts within the specialty channels. Understands our internal and/or external business partners' people, processes, and technology (e.g. SourceClear, VEEVA, EMR, Pyxis) to rapidly pilot, test and iterate innovative commercial solutions within specialty channels.
Stakeholder Engagement (20%) Act as the "expert partner" to key internal stakeholders, including Epilepsy & Rare Syndromes Leadership Team, driving execution of strategies, and reinforcing UCB's leadership in neurology patient value creation. As needed & available, lead supportive associates (e.g. marketing rotations, graduate development program) and may have responsibilities leading other brand marketers. Drive engagement planning with key external stakeholders (e.g. KOLs, Hospitalists, Neurocritical Care Specialists, Hospital Pharmacists, etc) for commercial efforts. Planning & implementation of advisory and consulting needs as well as content development of advisory boards or steering committees. Assist in coordination of national conferences/congress plans and the co-creation of promotional symposium content, as needed.
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills Bachelor Degree 5+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, including experience within a specialty channel such as Hospital, Hospital Systems, Integrated Care Networks, Long Term Care, etc. Demonstrated strength in business planning, tactical plan development and execution. Strong project management, problem-solving ability, and customer focus.
This positions reasonably anticipated salary range is $141,000 - 186,000. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and candidate location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
