$35,000 , with a first-year earning potential of

$125,000 - $175,000

including commissions.120 hours of paid time off (PTO) that increases with tenure12 paid company holidays, including President's day and JuneteenthOngoing professional development and internal leadership programs to maximize your career potentialMultiple medical plan options and health savings accountHospital and Critical Illness coverageShort & long-term disability and paid parental leaveEmployee Stock purchase plan401k plan with company matchWellness program incentives such as medical plan premium holidays and HSA contributionsWhat we are looking for in YOU:Ability to cold call businesses both over the phone and in personAbility to make oral presentations to provide information or explain policies and proceduresSkill in speaking with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgroundsWorking knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite on Surface ProsAbility to adapt to new technologyAbility to explain the outdoor advertising business to customers and account executives from installation and product standpointsSkill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondenceAbility to perform effectively under fluctuating workloadsSkill in selling or promoting outdoor advertisementsSkill in establishing rapport and gaining the trust of othersAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationshipsAbility to meet a sales quotaWorking knowledge of general sales techniquesAbility to be intrinsically motivated to succeed and withstand rejectionSkill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal directionEducation and experience:Established book of businessCurrent and Valid Driver’s LicenseCollege Degree preferredCRM experience preferred5 years of sales experience is required, preferably in outdoor advertisingOr equivalent combination of education & experienceKey Responsibilities:Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reportsTarget businesses within the assigned territory/account list and visit each established Lamar client and our competitors’ clients within the specified time frameIdentify potential growth areas, open new accounts and increase Lamar’s market share by selling all products – Posters, Bulletins, and Transit (where applicable)Become proficient in the use of Lamar computer tools to locate Co-op prospects, follow up on Hot Leads, prepare proposals, and researchPrepare written presentations, reports and proposalsBecome an active team member of Lamar and the advertising communityDevelop presentation skills utilizing computer tools and present to clients on a regular basisMaintain accounts receivableContinually develop new product knowledge and acquire better selling skillsKeep abreast of competition – particularly newspaper, radio, TV, cable, and online advertisingActively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars and trade showsSelf-Organization:Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales plan a month in advanceMaintain the appearance of a professional salespersonUse sales tools and complete daily planner/sales program after each call and at the end of the dayMaintain organized up-to-date records of clients and sales activityTime Management:Minimize travel time and maximize time in the field with clientsTravel overnight when necessaryUse the Lamar Sales Support Center and the Multi-Market Coordinators to sell multi-Lamar marketsCluster accounts to work them geographically and manage your time effectivelyAdministrative:Maintain client profiles and be prepared to submit daily planners/call reports, sales plans, forecasts and expense reports on a timely basisFollow up on all client production orders and ensure campaigns begin and end as the client requested. If any problems arise, AE will communicate immediately with the client and manager to find a solutionAgree to check lights etc. on a regular basis when called uponOperate within your expense budgetPhysical Demands and Work Environment:The primary work environment for this position is an office.The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision), sitting less than 50% of the time, standing, talking, turning, and walking.Nights spent away from home traveling are less than 10%.Lamar is an EOE/AA: Minorities/Females/Disabled/Protected Veterans or any other State or Federally protected characteristic
