Job Description:We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Roofing Construction Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to deliver projects that exceed expectations. Responsibilities:
Ensure teams work to follow all health and safety standards to prevent injuries and obstacles to project completion, and quickly report any safety regulation issues.
Schedule construction operations and create a construction timeline to ensure project deadlines are met.
Forecast monetary needs for the project and accurately manage the budget.
Secure any required licenses and permits from appropriate authorities to ensure construction is up to code.
Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate roofing projects, including managing resources and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all job sites.
Monitor project progress, quality of work, and adherence to specifications.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Manage project budgets and expenses, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed.
Provide leadership and guidance to roofing crews and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with construction project management software is highly valued.
Possess a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields.
Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills.
1+ years of experience as a construction project manager.
Spanish & English Speaking.
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing or general construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety practices.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore, STACK, Acculynx).
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites in cities outside of Houston for a commercial roof install.
Compensation:
$60,000 + commission and/or bonus structure
