Proposal ManagerThe Proposal Manager will support the Business Development (BD) team, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. This role is responsible for developing compliant, high-quality, and timely proposal content throughout the proposal lifecycle for DoD and Federal customers. It is a hybrid, full-time, mid-level position that requires the ability to learn and apply new skills in proposal management.This role will primarily be performed remotely, with occasional travel to the National Capital area.
Requirements:
Minimum eight (8) years of experience writing and managing proposals with major Federal agencies and a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Professional Writing, Creative Writing, or a related field; four (4) additional years of proposal writing and managing proposals with major Federal agencies may be substituted for the degree.Expert skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.Strong organizational and time management skills.Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills.Demonstrated experience in project management functions including resource planning, scheduling, and task delegation.Demonstrated proficiency with technical writing/editing.Demonstrated team leadership and management skills.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of version control management practices and technologies.US Citizenship.Ability to obtain a US DoD Government Clearance at Secret level or higher.Ability to sit for extended periods of time.Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
APMP Foundation Certification or equivalent knowledge of best practices in proposal development.Completion of Shipley Core courses or equivalent.Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and other web-based collaboration applications.Local to Northern Virginia is helpful, but not required.
