Ampact is looking for an experienced financial leader to serve as its Chief Financial Officer.

Ampact is a national nonprofit that implements and scales evidence-based AmeriCorps programs across three focus areas: education, environment, and healthy futures. With over 50,000 students served annually, Ampact has a significant track record and an annual operating budget of $115 million.Position Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all aspects of financial management and leadership, including grant & funds management, accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and budget preparation. This role includes developing internal control policies and overseeing finance and accounting department operations.Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee financial strategies and activities, ensuring compliance with grant and 2 CFR 200 requirements.Oversee all accounting operations including GL, grants accounting, A/P, A/R, payroll, cash flow, and revenue recognition.Ensure cash flow planning and availability of funds for organizational operations.Provide financial planning & forecasting models to give insight into the organization's operations and strategies.Lead and direct executives and staff to align the organization on financial priorities.Collaborate with executive leadership to achieve organizational goals.Engage the board of directors' finance committee in financial decisions and develop financial plans.Document financial business processes to maintain internal controls.Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports.Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.Develop and implement financial policies that ensure compliance with laws and regulations.Oversee financial systems for effective management.Supervise and develop finance department staff.Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.Qualifications:

Minimum Education:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.Master's degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.CPA preferred.Minimum Experience:3-5+ years as a CFO or top senior financial leader in a nonprofit organization.10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.Experience in nonprofit accounting and federal grant compliance.5 years of staff management experience.Physical Requirements:Travel locally and nationally as needed.Communicate effectively in various settings.Utilize technology to achieve results.Transport moderately heavy objects up to 25 pounds.Benefits:
