that specializes in outsourced accounting services for small to mid-level nonprofits. This is a
Full-Time, Hybrid

North Haledon, NJ

salary of $55,000- $70,000.

LOCATION: North Haledon, NJ- Hybrid (2x/week)

The
Junior Accountant
supports the Accounting Manager in providing customized bookkeeping and overall accounting and financial management services to clients. Clients consist of small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations.
Our Ideal Candidate:2+ years experience in non-profit accounting/financeFamiliarity with QuickBooks-online & Bill.comExperience working in a client service environmentStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Excellent organization and communication skillsBachelor's degreeHow You Will Spend Your Day:
Process and/or manage payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivableEnsure accounts receivable and accounts payable are current (less than 90 days)Reconcile bank and credit card statementsReview and post-investment accountsReview all uncleared checks and deposits for items over 120 daysAnalyze and prepare financial statements monthly for the Accounting Manager's/Sr. Accounting Manager's reviewManage annual audits and ensure all required schedules are completed timelyAssist clients with the preparation of Form 990, 1099's, and other benefit, tax and regulatory schedulesPerform ad-hoc accounting tasks on an as-needed basis
