POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Associate - Entertainment Finance will spend the majority of their time preparing, refining, and tracking event financials. The position will be working on various HBSE properties performing financial tasks. The ideal candidate must possess superior organization and time management skills with a proven ability to multitask. They must also demonstrate strong independent reasoning and problem-solving skills with the capability to think proactively. They should have a passion for the event and entertainment industry and seek to grow their knowledge of the music and live entertainment industry. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Entertainment Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:Develops and prepares event proformas, budgets, and forecasts.Prepares post-event flash report and P&L statement.Reconciles flash reports with general accounting ledger.Maintains master show files to include all essential event reports & relevant correspondence (settlement, marketing, insurance, contracts, etc).Assesses the financial impact of events, providing financial and analytical recommendations to Senior Manager of Entertainment Finance.Identities and evaluates potential opportunities for events (i.e., revenue maximization & optimization) and risk factors, as well as mitigation solutions.Develops ad hoc financial models & analyses as needed.Attends arena events & assists with Prudential Center event settlements.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Background Required:
Bachelor's degree; finance/accounting degree preferred.Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an analytical/finance role.Live Sports & Entertainment experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and advanced working knowledge of Excel is a must.Must possess comprehensive understanding of financial analysis with ability to assess and communicate strategic implicationsMust be able to exercise sound judgment and discretion in the creation and handling of sensitive and confidential materialsMust be able to lead complex negotiations with clients and comfortable in sophisticated business situationsMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skills: must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skillsMust have the ability to persuade others, build consensus and work in a team environment.Must have exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skillsMust be able to effectively prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying deadlinesMust have the ability to interact, develop, and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels both internal and externalMust be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and within company as a wholeMust have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationshipsMust have a strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligenceMust be self-directed, resourceful, and able to work independentlyMust be able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruptionMust have a strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made.Must have flexibility to work late hours, holidays, and weekends as neededWORKING CONDITIONS :
