Responsibilities:Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eatingCollects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluidsAids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if neededDocuments patient interactions as neededPerforms a variety of tasksWorks under general supervisionA certain degree of creativity and latitude is requiredTypically reports to a registered nurse or managerPerforms other related duties as assignedFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldRegular and predictable attendance is an essential job functionCompetent to meet age specific needs of the unit assignedRequirements and Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent preferredCurrent CNA registration with the State of Idaho, current Certified Medical Assistant, or current Surgical Technician certification requiredKnowledge of Sterile TechniquesComply with ethical, professional and legal standards inherent in patient care and professional conduct, e.g., patient's bill of rightsBLS requiredWorking Conditions:
Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs.Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting positionTypical equipment used in a clinical jobMust be able to stoop, crouch or bendMust be able to push, pull or transport heavy equipmentMust be able to assist in patient transferAbout Kootenai Health:
