Your role on the team:
Audits freight pay systems to include carrier freight billsInvestigates and responds to carrier billing issues and carrier inquiries regarding payment of invoices/accountsResponds to internal and external customer inquiries on any issues relating to freight paymentManages carrier invoice aging reportsPulls data from multiple systems for analysis and manipulationPrepares and analyzes data including carrier invoices, TMS data and Great Plains data used to manage carrier payablesReviews and creates Excel reports to assist in the management of the FAP processPrepares and analyzes data including carrier invoices, TMS data and Great Plains data used to manage carrier payablesPerforms clerical work as required, including answering phone calls, managing mail, operating various office machines and computers, sorting, filing, corresponding with internal and external employee and carrier representativesWhat you need:
Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience and high proficiency in ExcelExperience in customer service and the transportation industry, such as rate entry, collection, billing and/or operations preferredKnowledge of TMS applications and Great Plains systems preferredPC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word and OutlookAbility to read, analyze and interpret freight payment procedures and carrier pricing contractsAbility to write reports and business correspondence and maintain business procedure documentationAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and/or external account representativesAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to multitask and prioritizeStrong attention to detailWhat you gain from joining our team:
